Jenn Pelly at Pitchfork: The long-awaited collaboration between David Byrne and St. Vincent will finally arrive September 11 via 4AD/Todo Mundo. It’s called Love This Giant, and has been in the works for two and a half years. In our recent interview with Clark regarding the album, she said, “I think I’ve reached the pinnacle of who I want to work with.” I had no idea this was a thing. Talking Head’s David Byrne, responsible for some of rock’s most idiosyncratic hit songs, and Annie Clark, Rock Goddess, splitting the work “straight-down-the-middle”? It’s like a nerd dream I never knew I had coming true. Pitchfork has the first track, “Who”, available above. My first impression is their styles mesh perfectly. Should be a fantastic album.
